Kevin Conroy from Redeemer skipped the winning triple in the International Open on Sunday. Playing with Marty Trainor (Lead) and Alan Paul (2nd), they finished runner-up in the group stages to Raymond Stubbs.

Oriel have been drawn at home against Armagh in the 1st game of the Interzone next season. Oriel have played Armagh a total of 3 times in 6 seasons with Armagh in front 2-1. In a very top heavy draw the holders Mid-Ulster have been drawn North West.

Shane Hand went into the final of the Nationals knowing that victory would create history. After a pulsating qualifying session, were he narrowly beat the holder Terry Crawford in the 1st game and then went into cruise control beating all around him, he knew that only his "A" game would be good enough for victory.

After last year's defeat by Terry Crawford in the first match by the odd shot, Shane new he had to have his A Game to defeat him again. Crawford went on to win the title last year and admitted that Shane was his toughest match.
