Kevin Conroy In 2000 Kevin again proved to everyone that he is one of the best in Ireland by being selected second for the full team. He kept his place as 2nd in Martin Trainor’s rink till 2003 where he moved up to 3rd to Tyson. In 2005 he finally moved up to skip and surprisingly after not losing a game was dropped off the team altogether. It took to 2011 before he would regain his spot and was selected as a 3rd to John Quinn.

Paddy Hanlon In 2011 Paddy became the 4th player to be selected for the full team. He is leading on John Quinn’s rink.
“A” Series Irish Caps Kevin Conroy
Sean Conroy Snr In 2001 Kido was selected as a 2nd on one of the team rinks in which the Irish team won the team event.
Diarmuid McMahon Diarmuid had previously been at the world championships and British Isles team event and it was no surprise that in 2005 he was selected as 2nd to Terry Mullholland on the individual trips. He went on to claim the trips title.
Jim Fox Jim was at the time one of Oriels most dependable skips and a regular winner of tournaments. He was also selected to in 2005 as he played 2nd to Johnny Wilson’s rink in the team event. They also took home the individual title
Paddy Hanlon After Paddy reached the finals of the National Singles in 2010 it was almost written in stone that he would be selected for the “A” Series. He was selected as a 3rd on the team event to Kevin Conroy and went undefeated.
World Championships Representatives
Gerry Crosby Gerry was a lead to Kevin Conroy and Hughie McDonagh in 2000, in which he became part of history by being part the very first winners from the South to win the World Championships.
Kevin Conroy Kevin was a 2nd in the triple that had Gerry Crosby leading and Hughie McDonagh skipping in 2000, in which he became part of history by being part the very first winners from the South to win the World Championships. This win catapulted Kevin onto the Full Irish team. Kevin also qualified for the World singles in 2004 and ended up as runner-up. He will again have a chance in 2012 in the rinks with Jim Fox Fra Dillon and Billy Taaffe.
Hughie McDonagh Hughie was skipping for Kevin Conroy and Hughie McDonagh in 2000 in which he became part of history by being part the very first winners from the South to win the World Championships. He is also the only skip from Oriel to ever win a world title.
Diarmuid McMahon Diarmuid qualified for the world singles in 2004 and was very unlucky not to come out of his group losing to the eventual winner.
Fra Dillon As Kevin decided to go in the singles Fra was left playing with JR Graham. He was extremely unlucky not to win the World title losing out in the final on the last end. Fra will again have a chance in 2012 in the rinks with Jim Fox as lead, himself 2nd, Billy Taaffe 3rd and Kevin Conroy skip.

British Isles Individual Representatives
Jimmy McMahon Jimmy was unfortunate not to be able to play in the National Final due to his health but he was taken back in as lead in the trips to Brendan and Diarmuid for the British Isles. He ended up as runner-up to England.
Brendan McMahon Brendan was 2nd in the triple with Jimmy leading and Diarmuid 2nd. They ended up 2nd to England after narrowly losing to them in the 2nd last game.
Diarmuid McMahon Diarmuid was skipping for his father and uncle in 2002 and ended up 2nd to England.
Kevin Conroy Kevin in 2004
Gerry McCabe Gerry became the first player from Oriel to win a British Isles individual event by winning the Singles in 2009. This win forced the selectors to pick Gerry for the full team the following season.
