The finals for Oriel’s national qualifiers takes place on Sunday evening with plenty of interesting games to look forward to on the night!

Open Singles
In the singles we’ll have 4 players qualifying for Belfast. In section A we have two Cooley players with Marty Trainor against Stephen McMahon, section B’s final has Paul Duff from Corduff taking on Declan McKeown of Crossmaglen. Section C has Colm Minnock of Redeemer playing Niall Martin from Magheracloone. Finally Section D has Corduff’s Michael Hand against last year’s national singles runner up Paddy Hanlon from Cooley.

Open Trips
In the Trips we’ll have 2 teams qualifying for the Nationals in Belfast. In section A the Redeemer trip of David McGuinness, Colm Minnock and Finbarr Mullin take on John Murnaghan, Seán Breen and Marty Trainor from Cooley. Section B has Corduff’s Jason Hand, Shane Hand and Paul Duff against another Cooley trip of Gerry McCabe, Paddy Hanlon and Stephen McMahon.

Open Rinks
The open Rinks will have 2 qualifiers for Belfast. In section A Finbar Mullin, Sean Conroy, Fra Dillon and Kevin Conroy from Redeemer take on Michael Hand, Jason Hand, Shane Hand and Paul Duff of Corduff. Section B has 2 Cooley rinks going against each other with Mícheál Savage, John Murnaghan, Sean Breen and Marty Trainor against Gerry McCabe, Ronan Hanlon, Stephen McMahon and Paddy Hanlon.

Mixed Pairs
The mixed pairs will have 2 teams qualify. This will be an all Corduff affair as in Section A we have Emma Colgan and Paul Duff against Claire Corrigan and Shane Hand, while in section B Rosie Colgan and Diarmuid McMahon take on Lilly Comiskey and Michael Hand.

Women’s Singles
The Women’s singles have 2 qualifiers for Belfast, with Philomeena Reel of Silverbridge against Monina Birch from Kilcurry in section A, while section B Emma Colgan from Corduff against Imelda Hanrartty of Killanny.

Women’s Pairs
The Women’s pairs have 2 qualifying teams for Belfast. Section A has Fiona Corrigan and Rachel Brennan from Corduff versus Imelda Hanratty & Gill Rouiller from Killanny. Section B has Rosie Colgan and Emma Colgan from Corduff taking on Briege Duffy and Bernie Cunningham of Kilcurry.

Ladies Trips
The ladies trips will have 1 team qualify for Belfast. A combined Redeemer/Corduff team of Fiona Corrigan Mary O’Hare and Rachel Brennan taking on Olivia Cunningham, Anne Murphy and Mary Carthy from Kilkerley.

Over 55s Pairs
The over 55s pairs will have 2 qualifying teams.
In section A Noel Mackin and Anthony Reel from Cullyhanna take on John McMahon & Enda Traynor from Killanny. In section B Jim Fox & Michael Hand from Corduff v Greg Marron & Michael Cunningham from Killanny

Junior Singles
We’ll have 2 qualifiers from the Junior singles. In Section A Paudie Boyle from Corduff plays Chloe Dykstra from Greenhills. In Section B Chris Corrigan from Corduff is playing Liam McArdle from Crossmaglen

Junior Pairs
There’ll be 1 pair qualifying for Belfast in the junior pairs. Rosie Colgan and Shane Hanratty from Corduff plays John Finlas and Paudie Boyle also from Corduff.
